Have Toys changed through the Ages?

The use of toys can be traced back to prehistoric times with examples of carved animals being found at the site of Stonehenge. Toys are indicitive of the materials and production techniques available at the time. Many popular toys we play with today date back to Roman and Ancient Greek Times, such as the Yo-yo and Cup and Ball.

The Victorian era saw more toys made from metals such as Tin, Lead and Iron.  Modern day toys are often made from plastic, but are essentially the same toys (Dolls, Animals, Boats, etc...) as those played with children in the past.
