Teotihuacan, located just North-East of Mexico City, was a thriving ancient city that features some of the most strikingly impressive architectural remains of the pre-Columbian Americans. Another major discovery at the site were the large number of masks. Some scholars believe them to have been funerary in nature whilst others claim that this style was not used in burials, adding to their mystery.
Each mask is handcrafted in Jalisco, Mexico and features a string for ease of hanging.
