Large Serpent Head

ex. VAT

These large, handmade 'barro' pottery serpent heads are based on those found in various temples across Mesoamerica. Commonly referred to as the Feathered Serpent or as Quetzalcoatl by the Aztecs and as Kulkulkan by the Maya, the heads are famously found adorning the Temple of the Feathered Serpent at Teotihuacan. Approx: 24cm wide.
