Ceramic Ink writing set includes Glazed Ink Well, Pounce Pot and Ink Wiper Pot, plus a turkey Feather Quill.

Ink Wells had narrow necks to avoid the ink drying out too quickly.  A Pounce Pot would be filled with finely crushed egg shells or cuttlefish bones to absorb any excess ink and reduce the chance of smudging.  The Wiper pot was used to remove any excess ink immediately after dipping your quill into the Ink Well and avoid drips.
