King Charles I believed in the ‘divine right of kings to rule’ and fought with parliament on many religious and financial issues. These battles resulted in the English Civil War, led by Cromwell. After losing the war, Charles was tried and executed for high treason in January 1649.

The Bust
Based on illustrations of King Charles I, this sculpture was completed at our workshop in Bath and makes a truly regal addition to the mantel, bookshelf or occasional table for any 'royalist'.
Around the base.

The bust base includes a crown, helmet and breastplate, canon, charging horses and soldiers going to war.

The etch around the base reads:  "I FEAR NOT DEATH"
