While the whisk (the Irukere) represents peace and divine authority, the Udamalore is a ceremonial sword or dagger that represents a ruler's physical and spiritual strength to face challenges. In religious contexts like Ifá or Santería, it is also simply referred to as a Cuchillo (Spanish for "knife") or Obe (Yoruba for "knife").
