Aboriginal clapsticks are traditional percussion instruments, essentially two carved sticks (often wood) struck together to provide rhythmic backing for songs, dances, and ceremonies across Australia, accompanying vocal chants and sometimes the didgeridoo to set tempo and create connection through shared rhythm.
